Recently parting ways with the Belgium national team, the specialist should soon take over the reins of the Portugal national team, announces journalist David Ornstein of "The Athletic."
R. Martinez has already reached a verbal agreement with the Portuguese Football Federation.
With Belgium, the 49-year-old specialist reached the World Cup semi-finals in 2018, the Nations League final four in 2021, and climbed to the top of the FIFA rankings.
However, the recent European Championship was unsuccessful for the "Red Devils," as was the just-concluded World Cup.
