"After moving to Milan's "Inter," Radja Nainggolan insists he is ready for a new challenge because he no longer felt important within the ranks of "Roma."
The "Fashion capital" club agreed to pay 38 million euros for security, although it recouped 14 million by selling Davide Santon and Nicolo Zaniolo.
The 30-year-old footballer will be able to work with coach Luciano Spalletti again, who led the capital team for a season and a half some time ago.
"The most important thing for me is to feel that people believe in me. I received calls from the sporting director, coach, and (vice president - ed.) Zanetti," Nainggolan told "Inter TV."
"They made me feel important, as I might not have felt within the ranks of 'Roma,' so it was an easy decision. Of course, I do not forget the past, but I am happy to start a new adventure. I am really ready for it."
"I think I played my best season with Spalletti and hope to play just as well here. I am here because of the coach and I am glad to be able to work with him again."
"I hope we can perform well in both 'Serie A' and the Champions League, because 'Inter' has a magnificent history. I hope we will return to those same heights."
Last season, "Inter" finished fourth in the Italian championships and returned to the Champions League after a four-year break.
