Robert Pires believes that London's "Arsenal" fans, despite a poor start to the season, should not stop believing in coach Arsene Wenger.
After a recent loss to "Swansea City" in the Premier League, the "gunners" dropped to the seventh place. In 11 matches, they have only managed to secure four victories so far. Things are not much better in the UEFA Champions League: despite wasting a three-goal lead and playing a draw with Brussels' "Anderlecht," the "Arsenal" players have not yet secured a spot in the tournament's quarter-finals.
Despite all this, the legend of the North London club supports the specialist from France.
When Goal asked if Wenger should resign, Pires replied: "Such a question is difficult for me, because I love "Arsenal" and I admire Arsene Wenger."
"He has led the club for the last eleven seasons, and we should not forget the past."
"I understand that the team is currently in a difficult situation. I know that he has spent a lot of money on Ozil, Sanchez, Welbeck, and Chambers. But in reality, everything is not so simple."
"Now Wenger is facing difficulties, but I have always believed in him, the team, and the players."
Pires also expressed the opinion that the best "gunners" player of this season is Alexis Sanchez.
