Having played a great season in the ranks of "Man City", the country's forward Raheem Sterling revealed that in his youth he was a staunch supporter of "Man Utd" club fans.
The 24-year-old Englishman mentioned this to "The Mirror" publication.
"I watched the 2007 FA Cup final at the stadium, when the teams of 'Chelsea' and 'Man Utd' were fighting. Now it is clear that I should not say it, but when I was young, I strongly supported the 'Red Devils'. I had an old 'Man Utd' kit when the team still triumphed in the FA Cup tournament," said R. Sterling.
The Englishman also explained his decision to donate 550 tickets to schoolchildren to attend the FA Cup semi-final between the teams of "City" and "Brighton" in April.
"Visiting the stadium is an incredible feeling. I was motivated by the fact that it was rare to be next to the arena and not to enter it more than once. If at least 2-3 kids were inspired by this event, then I achieved my goal," explained the "Man City" player.
This Saturday, "City" will face the team of "Watford" in the FA Cup final.
