Rafael van der Vaart insists he does not intend to leave the London club, even though it did not qualify for the Champions League tournament.
The Netherlands international scored 13 goals this season and became one of the team's leaders.
However, after it became clear that Tottenham would at best compete in the Europa League tournament, rumors began to spread that van der Vaart might leave.
"We always want to play in European competitions. I am happy that next season we will most likely have the opportunity to compete in the Europa League. It would be great to win this trophy," he said.
"I like to play every two or three days. Of course, the Champions League is the ultimate goal, but I have only spent a year in London and I really enjoyed everything. I definitely won't leave the club."
