Legendary Dutch national team striker Robin van Persie believes that Amsterdam's "Ajax" are favorites to reach the UEFA Champions League final.
This season, the sensation-creating team "Ajax" will face London's "Tottenham" in the semifinals. Van Persie, due to the clubs he played for, does not feel too much love for these semifinal participants, although he acknowledges that he is happy with their determination.
"When I played for Arsenal, Tottenham were the main competitors. Playing for Feyenoord, teams like Ajax are. However, that doesn't mean that I am not happy for these clubs.
I respect Tottenham and Ajax for what they have done this season. I would say that Ajax is even a favorite, as Spurs do not have Kane and Son, who are the main two attacking faces," praised the Dutchman.
"I suspect that Tottenham have definitely watched our victory against Ajax in the league... Every match is different, but I think we were better than Ajax and in the domestic cup," Van Persie added.
