R. Varane hopes to end his career at the "Real" club

One of the best young defenders in the planet's center Raphael Varane does not shy away from Jose Mourinho's attention and claims that he would gladly end his career at Real Madrid.

The 23-year-old defender from France arrived in Madrid back in 2011. R. Varane established himself in the team led by Jose Mourinho at a very young age, but later under Carlo Ancelotti, the Frenchman received less playing time. However, the defender regained trust under Zinedine Zidane and is happy in the Real team.

"I am an honest person and I have to speak openly with others. I had a conversation where I asked what I had to do to get more playing time again. Zidane clearly explained his thoughts and said what was most important. He gave me a chance and now I am doing everything to regain trust," - R. Varane opened up about past difficulties.

"I had an exceptional relationship with Jose Mourinho, that's true, but Carlo Ancelotti was a great person. From the day he left, I really improved. Maybe I would have played more under him if I had been able to prove myself in the most important matches.

The president and the coach indicated that I am in their plans and I will definitely receive more playing time. I am only 23 years old, but I am approaching the end of my sixth season here. We decided to discuss a new contract after the season, but I can assure you that it would be a great honor to end my career in Madrid. Throughout this time, I learned to enjoy every minute and I know that everything can change quickly," - R. Varane said.

R. Varane also expressed his joy that President F. Perez trusts him, who has previously stated that the Frenchman will be the future captain of Real: "It is very pleasing to hear such words from the president. I am not thinking about it yet, but it would be a great honor to be the captain of this team."

The Frenchman, who is under contract with Real until 2020, played 31 matches this season and scored four goals.
