The Gargždai "Banga" football players failed to achieve victory in the last match of Roberto Vėževičius' career.

In the 36th round of the TOPsport A league, the Gargždai team drew 1:1 (0:0) at home against the Kaunas region team "Hegelmann."

Before this match, the Kaunas region team had secured second place in the final standings, while the Gargždai team remained in fifth place after Saturday's results.

This match marked the end of Roberto Vėževičius' career – after playing more than 400 matches in the country's top division, the player from Ukmergė took to the field for the last time in the 87th minute and was greeted with roaring applause from his team's fans.

Neither team had serious chances in the first half, but the hosts were slightly more active after the break – Valdas Paulauskas struck the crossbar, and Maksimas Andrejevas had a good opportunity, but they failed to send the ball into the net defended by Vincentas Šarkauskas.

As the second half progressed, Matas Vareika provoked a penalty in the opponents' penalty area and scored it himself, putting his team in the lead. However, the hosts did not give up and equalized the score in the final minutes of the match with Antonio Lara after a corner kick.
