The Glasgow "Rangers" club, led by former Scotland national team coach Walter Smith, continues its revival by defeating "Kilmarnock" 3-1 in the 27th round of the "Premier" league on Sunday. The victory was sealed with three goals from Kris Boyd, while Steven Naismith scored one for "Kilmarnock."

In the ninth minute, a controversial penalty was awarded to the away team, allowing Kris Boyd to score his first goal. Boyd later added two more goals, one of which was another penalty kick. Although "Rangers" captain Barry Ferguson had a goal disallowed in the 15th minute, Boyd's goals put the team in the lead.

In the second half, "Rangers" continued to threaten, but "Kilmarnock" goalkeeper Alan Combe and defender James Fowler prevented further goals. Despite a missed penalty by Peter Leven for "Kilmarnock," Boyd managed to secure a hat-trick with another penalty kick.

The victory allowed "Rangers" to extend their lead in second place, with a four-point advantage over "Aberdeen" and a five-point advantage over "Hearts" in fourth place.
