The impressive unbeaten streak of Laverkusen's "Bayer" in the "Bundesliga" championship has come to an end.

The German champions lost 2:3 at home to "RB Leipzig" on Saturday.

The first half of the match didn’t seem to bode well for the hosts. In the 26th minute, "RB Leipzig" was left without its head coach, who received two yellow cards, and in the 39th minute, "Bayer" took the lead through Jeremie Frimpong.

In the 45th minute, Alejandro Grimaldo doubled the home team's advantage, but already during the added time of the first half, the visitors narrowed the deficit thanks to Kevin Kampl.

In the 57th minute, Lois Openda equalized the score.

The impressive streak of "Bayer" was ended by L. Openda, who scored the winning goal in the 80th minute.

The "Bayer" team had not experienced a defeat in the "Bundesliga" championship since the beginning of the previous season.
