Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon revealed his opinion on why the club decided to bring back coach Zinedine Zidane instead of trying to hire Portuguese Jose Mourinho once again.
"I think it's a good choice. The other candidate was J. Mourinho. I believe that in the last days, the main Real players put pressure on to not bring him back to the team. After all, the last time the Portuguese was here, he caused a lot of problems," said R. Calderon.
"J. Mourinho is a good coach, there's no doubt about it - he has won many trophies. However, there is one problem - many players, maybe even team leaders in the locker room, do not like him.
I think it was important to call Zidane and try to convince him. Real managed to do that and the team succeeded," said R. Calderon.
