Two Madrid defenders will be forced to miss the famous Spanish "El Clasico" - the match against Barcelona. Brazilian Roberto Carlos and Italian Fabio Cannavaro suffered injuries and will definitely not hit the field in Saturday's match.
Roberto Carlos has a torn muscle in his right thigh, so according to the club's doctors, he will be out for three to four weeks.
Meanwhile, last year's best World Player Fabio Cannavaro strained a muscle in his right leg before the Champions League quarter-final rematch against Bayern Munich and will not play for 10 to 12 days.
In the match against Barcelona, the Royal club will also be without two other star players: former England captain David Beckham and Spanish national team striker Jose Antonio Reyes. Both suffered injuries in last weekend's Spanish league match against Getafe, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
After 25 rounds in the Spanish league, "Real" is in fourth place, while "Barcelona" is in second place with five more points.
