Each Brazilian being invited to the national team to participate in the World Cup means a lot, and yesterday football fans could once again see that.
The extended list of Brazilian candidates is quite long, and more than one of the candidates filmed themselves yesterday waiting for this special decision.
Many of them had the opportunity to celebrate: Richarlison, Antony, Rodrygo, Alex Telles, Everton Ribeiro, Pedro, Bruno Guimaraes rejoiced with their families.
Meanwhile, Matheus Cunha, Roberto Firmino, or Gabriel Barbosa were feeling down.
“Flamengo” striker G. Barbosa criticized the Brazilian football system because players competing in Europe have a better chance to join the national team. According to Gabigol, this encourages Brazilian players to move across the Atlantic.
On the other hand, R. Firmino, shining for "Liverpool" this season, wrote: “Yesterday things didn't go as I imagined or dreamed in my life, but I can consider God and thank Him for allowing me to live this dream, just like everyone else.”
The forward was referring to his professional career.
Really sad to see Matheus Cunha like this. I’m sure if he picked the correct European club to go to instead of Atletico Madrid, he would be on that list too. pic.twitter.com/5iJMZVtXxp
