Club coach Steve Coppell has been named Coach of the Year in England. The players led by this club "Reading" finished in 8th place in their debut season in the Premier League and missed out by just 1 point to qualify for the UEFA Cup tournament.

S.Coppell was also named Coach of the Year last year when the team he led confidently won the Championship division and entered the Premier League.

This 51-year-old strategist's contract with the club is valid until the summer of 2009.

In the elections where 4 English league club coaches voted, lower division winners were also selected. Roy Keane, whose team "Sunderland" finished in 1st place in the Championship and returned to the Premier League was selected.
