On Wednesday, eight matches of the 3rd round of the A-D groups of the UEFA Champions League were played.
In Group A, a highly anticipated match took place since the beginning of the season. In the French capital, the footballers of Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid clashed. After a fierce battle, the winner was not determined and the match ended in a goalless draw.
Both teams had plenty of opportunities to score. However, there were not many clear-cut chances, but the game was fast-paced and full of fierce battles.
In other Group A matches, Malmo narrowly defeated Shakhtar Donetsk in front of their own fans. Real and PSG continue to share the 1-2 positions, while Malmo scored the first three points and rose to third place.
In Group B, Manchester United failed to defeat CSKA Moscow away. The hosts scored in the 15th minute, but in the 65th minute, Anthony Martial equalized for the Red Devils.
Meanwhile, Wolfsburg defeated PSV in this group and moved to the top position, while Manchester United and CSKA share 2-3 places.
In Group C matches, Atletico Madrid had an easy 4-0 victory over Astana. In another match, Galatasaray won against Benfica after a fierce battle.
In Group D, an interesting match took place between Manchester City and Sevilla. Manuel Pellegrini's team managed to secure a much-needed victory in the end.
In other Group D matches, Juventus played a goalless draw against Borussia Monchengladbach, maintaining their lead. Man City ranks sixth with 6 points.
