"Real Betis" bought "Espanyol" forward for a record sum

Seville's "Real Betis" and Barcelona's "Espanyol" clubs have completed negotiations that lasted all summer for the acquisition of Borja Iglesias.

The Andalusian team finally agreed to pay a sum of 28 million euros to the "Espanyol" club. This is their record transfer.

After playing excellently in the Spanish first division last season and scoring 17 goals, the Spanish player signed a five-year contract with "Real Betis". He will be coached by Rubi, who also worked with the "Espanyol" team last season.

B. Iglesias has previously played for "Real Zaragoza" and Vigo's "Celta" teams in his career.

This summer, in addition to B. Iglesias, "Real Betis" also acquired the star Nabil Fekir from "Lyon".
