After finishing the season with a victory against Madrid's "Real" club, Seville's "Real Betis" will have a new coach.
Just a few hours after the match in Madrid, it was announced on the official Andalusian website that Quique Setien will no longer be coaching the team next season.
"Real Betis" had previously stated that a decision regarding Q. Setien's future would be made after the season. As it turned out, it was not favorable for the 60-year-old specialist.
Despite the victory in Madrid, "Real Betis" experienced a real tragedy in the second half of the season. The Andalusians suffered six defeats in the last seven matches before the final two rounds, prompting the club to make changes.
Q. Setien was previously linked to "Barcelona" at the start of the season, but now his chances of joining the Catalan team are very slim.
The strategist has been coaching the "Real Betis" team since 2017.
