Sevilla's "Real Betis" announced that the new team's coach will be 49-year-old specialist Rubi.
"Real Betis" had to look for a new coach after deciding to dismiss Quique Setien from his coaching duties. Rubi led Barcelona's "Espanyol" this season and finished in seventh place.
Despite the potential for Barcelona to compete in the UEFA Europa League, Rubi decided not to continue working with this team and accepted the offer from the Sevilla team.
A three-year contract was signed with the coach.
He will be replaced by David Gallego in the "Espanyol" team, who has been working with the club's youth for many years.
