On Saturday, a battle of "El Clasico" took place in the Spanish "La Liga" championship. Playing at home, Madrid's "Real" team defeated "Barcelona" with a dramatic 2:1 result. The beginning of the match went much better for the Madrid team, which took the lead in the 8th minute when Karim Benzema scored with a very technical shot. In the 28th minute, "Real" smiled with luck when Toni Kroos' shot bounced off several players and into the goal. At the end of the first half, the visitors intensified their game a bit, but "Barca" went into halftime with a two-goal deficit. In the second half, the Catalonians completely took over the initiative and in the 60th minute, Oscar Mingueza reduced his team's deficit. "Barca" continued to threaten the opponent's goal, but failed to score, while "Real" players did not capitalize on their own chances in counterattacks. In the 90th minute, "Real" defender Casemiro received his second yellow card. The visitors could have equalized with a final shot by Ilaix Moriba, but his shot hit the crossbar. Madrid's club leveled with "Atletico" after this victory, but the latter team has a game in hand.
