On Saturday, Madrid's "Real" club officially started their season in the Spanish "La Liga" championship.
This summer, the club from the Spanish capital, having acquired five new players, began the match in Vigo without them, but that did not stop them from a victory against "Celta". In the second half, with ten men, the "white" team showed character and defeated the opponents with a score of 3:1.
The match started off well - in the 12th minute Karim Benzema put the visitors ahead, and another assist was credited to Gareth Bale, who just a few weeks ago transferred to China.
The entire battle shifted to the second half of the match. "Celta" activated their forces in attack and in the 56th minute received a gift from the referee - a red card was shown to Luka Modric for a foul on Denis Suarez.
Despite being down a man, the Madrid team not only did not crumble defensively but, on the contrary, took control of the game and unexpectedly scored two goals.
In the 61st minute, Toni Kroos scored a stunning shot from about 25 meters. In the 80th minute, Lucas Vazquez gave the visitors an unassailable lead, finishing a superb "Real" attack with a precise shot.
"Celta" managed to score a consolation goal in extra time, but it had no impact - the visitors celebrated a convincing victory.
In other matches, "Valencia" lost two points after a dramatic battle with "Real Sociedad". Kevin Gameiro put "Bats" ahead in the 58th minute, but in the 95th minute failed to convert a penalty, and "La Real", preserving the goal deficit, in the final minutes of added time received a penalty kick themselves and extended the score to 1:1.
