The Madrid team rushed to deny the information that appeared in the media that the team's defender Michel Salgado would leave for Turin at the beginning of the year.
A few days ago, a report was circulated that the 29-year-old defender would be loaned to an Italian club at the beginning of 2006 and would play there for at least half a year. It was also claimed that if M. Salgado's performance satisfied the "Juventus" leaders, they would have redeemed the defender's contract.
Even Salgado's own words were quoted, saying that the "Real" leaders had offered him to move to Italy and he agreed to do so. The experienced defender of the Spanish national team was supposed to be replaced in the Madrid team by the Brazilian Cicinho, who has already signed a preliminary contract with the "Royal" club. However, the team's leaders may or may not invite the player to join their ranks.
The rumors that everything had already been agreed upon were denied by the leaders of the "Juventus" team. Nevertheless, the Turin team did not deny that they would like to have the player in their team.
