Recently there have been rumors that La Coruna and the Spanish national team defender Alberto Luque will leave his current team and move to another club.

The rumors intensified even more after Luque was not registered for the Intertoto Cup matches with the team from Croatia, Slaven Belupo.

It is no secret that this summer, famous clubs like Barcelona or Real Madrid are interested in the player. Now, the royal club of Madrid has joined the fight for the 27-year-old Spaniard, as Deportivo seems to have presented the most tempting offer.

Real Madrid has long been looking for a left-back to replace the departing Luis Figo, and previously showed interest in the star Ryan Giggs, but after failing to reach an agreement with the English club, they decided to turn to the Spanish market.

The fact that Real Madrid is seriously interested in Luque was confirmed by the official Deportivo newspaper "Depor Sport", which revealed that official representatives of Real Madrid contacted Deportivo officials several times.

The official price for Alberto Luque is 72 million euros, but Deportivo president Augusto Cesar Lendoiro is hoping to receive around 20 million for the player.
