Zinedine Zidane glanced at his compatriot playing in the English Premier League. According to "Fichajes.com", Real Madrid is seriously interested in Leicester City's defensive midfielder N'Golo Kante. Zidane reportedly wants to strengthen the defensive line and sees the 24-year-old Frenchman as the new Claudio Makelele.
This season is Kante's first in England. The Frenchman joined the "Foxes" this summer and became one of the key players in the team's battle for the Premier League title.
Several media sources claim that Real Madrid had already set their sights on the player last summer, but hesitated to acquire the then relatively unknown midfielder.
Kante, who cost Leicester City 8 million euros, played 28 matches in the Premier League this season, scoring one goal and providing three assists.
