"Real" Madrid players recently returned to training, but it already resulted in the loss of two players.
"Real" released official medical reports and announced that Lucas Vazquez suffered a bruise contusion, while Mateo Kovacic strained his ankle ligaments.
It is believed that L. Vazquez will miss about two weeks of matches, while the 22-year-old Croatian will be out for around three.
L. Vazquez has been a key part of the team this season, especially when Gareth Bale is recovering from a long-term injury. It is expected that James Rodriguez or Marco Asensio will take his place.
So far this season, L. Vazquez has played 23 games, scored a goal, and provided eight assists. Meanwhile, M. Kovacic has stepped onto the field 18 times.
"Real" team faces a challenging schedule in January - the "Whites" will face "Sevilla" three times in two weeks.
