"Real" lost the name of the world's most valuable sports club

Madrid's "Real" is no longer the most valuable sports club in the world. The Spanish club was overtaken by Dallas Cowboys. This is an American football club.

According to Forbes, the value of "Real" is 3.6 billion U.S. dollars. Meanwhile, the value of "Cowboys" is 4.0 billion and is 25 percent higher than last year.

Barcelona climbed to third place, while New York Yankees baseball club dropped from second to fourth place.

New York Knicks, where Mindaugas Kuzminskas plays, became the most valuable basketball club, taking over the status from Los Angeles Lakers.

Out of the top 50 most valuable clubs, only four sports categories (American football, basketball, soccer, baseball) are represented.

27 out of the top 50 most valuable clubs are American football clubs. Last year there were 20.

The biggest decline in the top 50 was made by London Arsenal club, which dropped to 1.5 billion U.S. dollars and fell from 23rd place to 36th.
