"Real" Madrid Aims for "Ajax" Defensive Pillar in Pursuit of Young Talents

"The Madrid club "Real", not sparing to invest in prospective players, has set its sights on another highly valued football talent in Europe - Matthijs de Ligt.

Spanish media reports that the "whites" have been closely monitoring the performances of the 19-year-old footballer in the ranks of Amsterdam's "Ajax" recently. The defender is fighting with "Ajax" to qualify for the Champions League tournament and, according to reports, representatives of Madrid "Real" have attended several matches in a row.

It is not expected that an offer will be made for the center-back this summer, but Madrid "Real" wants to make sure that next summer the Dutchman could come to the Spanish capital.

M. de Ligt, whose services are also of interest to "Barcelona" and other major European clubs, is valued at around 50 million euros.

The defender started playing in the main "Ajax" team in 2016 and already wears the captain's armband. M. de Ligt is considered the most promising young center-back for now.
