The title of the Spanish Super Cup returns to the hands of Real Madrid after a two-year break. Real Madrid defeated Athletic Bilbao 2-0 in the Super Cup final. Luka Modric scored the first goal in the final. The Croatian was accurate in the 38th minute after a pass from Rodrygo. At the beginning of the second half, a penalty kick was awarded to Athletic Bilbao. Karim Benzema successfully converted it to double the result in favor of his team. At the end of the match, Real Madrid's center-back Eder Militao got into a bit of trouble. The Brazilian intentionally played with his hand in the penalty area and was sent off, resulting in a penalty kick for the 'king's club'.
