"Real" Madrid reaches agreement on acquisition of "Porto" defender

"Real" Madrid will strengthen their defense this summer. Sources from "Marca" reveal that an agreement has been reached with "Porto" for the acquisition of 21-year-old Eder Militao. The "White" team will pay 50 million euros for the highly rated Brazilian - this amount is stipulated in his contract with "Porto". The deal is practically finalized, and E. Militao will join "Real" right after the season. Other famous European clubs also sought after the versatile defender, but Madrid's "Real" acted faster than the others. E. Militao himself did not falter under constant scrutiny and demonstrated excellent results in Portugal. Just last summer, E. Militao, who arrived from Brazil to "Porto," won the award for the best defender in the Portuguese league five times in a row. E. Militao is compared to Sergio Ramos - the Brazilian excels in aerial duels and can play various roles in defense. In his homeland, he mostly played as a right-back, but at "Porto" he became a solid center-back. This season, E. Militao played 32 matches, scored three goals, and provided two assists.
