Although Madrid's "Real" is going through a huge playing crisis, commercial offers are not decreasing - the Spanish football giant will soon sign the most profitable contract in the history of sports.
"Marca" reports that the financially thriving club has reached an agreement with "Adidas" for a new contract that will be valid for the next decade.
It is said that a contract will be signed with the German manufacturer of sportswear, footwear, and other sports equipment, which will guarantee an annual income of 110 million euros for the club. It is not excluded that with various bonuses, depending on team achievements, a sum of up to 150 million euros could be earned per year.
It is estimated that after the renewal of the contract, Madrid's "Real" will earn 52 million euros more from "Adidas" than before.
As the three-time consecutive winner of the UEFA Champions League, within 10 years, "Real" will receive a guaranteed 1.1 billion euros from "Adidas."
According to "Marca," the biggest competitor of Madrid's "Real," Barcelona, gets 83 million euros annually from "Nike," while the most valuable club on the planet, Manchester United, adds 85 million euros from "Adidas."
The comparison of Madrid's "Real" and the entire football industry is illustrated by the comparison with the NBA. For example, "Nike" currently pays 1 billion dollars to 21 National Basketball Association clubs over eight years. In other words, a total of 125 million U.S. dollars (110 million euros) is paid to all 21 clubs per season, which is equivalent to one contract with "Real."
The financial situation of the multiple Spanish champions improves every year - the budget has increased by 11 percent compared to previous seasons, the commercial area by 16 percent, and the contracts with the main sponsors by 18.2 percent.
