The players of the giant Spanish club "Real" Madrid agreed to reduce their salaries by 10 percent. As announced on the official website, the agreement was reached by collaborating with both the basketball and football team captains - Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Felipe Reyes, and Sergio Llull. If the football season is not extended, then the players' salaries for the remaining part of the season would decrease by 20 percent. It is estimated that the savings from the players' salaries will amount to 50 million euros. In Spain, most clubs have used the ERTE system, which allowed for a 70 percent reduction in the salaries of all employees, including players and coaches. Both "Barcelona" and Madrid's "Atletico" followed this path.
