This week it was announced that young talent Martin Odegaard has officially joined Madrid's "Real" team.
The promising attacking midfielder had previously visited teams such as "Liverpool", "Arsenal" in London, "Bayern" in Munich, and "Barcelona", but ultimately decided to join forces with the team coached by Carlo Ancelotti.
According to foreign media, Odegaard was enticed to Spain by a fabulous salary - the 16-year-old Norwegian signed a five-year contract with the royal club and will earn 80 thousand euros per week.
Reportedly, this overshadowed even his dream of wearing "Barcelona" socks - the Catalans had previously offered him a significantly lower salary of about 20 thousand euros per week.
"Real" also made an effort to please Odegaard's father, offering him a job in the coaching staff.
Having reached an agreement with the Madrid club, the footballer immediately deleted messages on social media, where he had celebrated Lionel Messi's goals.
