n Tuesday, the second round of UEFA Champions League matches kicked off. Madrid's "Real" team was close to their second defeat in Group B, as they managed to salvage a point in the match against "Monchengladbach" in the dying moments of the game – the match ended in a 2:2 draw. Marcus Thuram led the hosts forward, scoring to put "Gladbach" ahead in the 33rd minute, and doubling the German team's lead in the 58th minute. However, "Real" did not give up and Karim Benzema revived the intrigue in the match with a beautiful strike in the 87th minute. The "Royal" club extended their lead in added time, with Casemiro scoring.

A real drama unfolded in the Group A matches, where Madrid's "Atletico" defeated the "Salzburg" team 3:2 at home. Madrid club took the lead in the 29th minute with a precise strike from Marcos Llorente, but "Salzburg" equalized the score in the 40th minute through Dominik Szoboszlai. "Salzburg" surged ahead at the beginning of the second half – Merger Berisha scored in the 47th minute, but just five minutes later the score was leveled again after Joao Felix's goal. The same Portuguese player added another goal in the 85th minute to secure victory for his team.
