The 23-year-old footballer, who shone at the World Cup, cost Real Madrid 75 million euros and signed a six-year contract.
Former Monaco midfielder will wear the number 10 jersey for Madrid. Over 40,000 spectators attended the Colombian's presentation at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.
"I am very happy to be here, it's a dream come true," said J.Rodriguez. "I hope to bring a lot of joy and also win many titles."
Meanwhile, Real Madrid's president Florentino Perez said: "The boy dreamed of wearing the jerseys that Ronaldo and Zidane wore, and now he is a Real Madrid player."
This summer, another player joined the ranks of the UEFA Champions League winners. It is Germany's national team midfielder Toni Kroos.
