Real Madrid has presented a new, higher offer for the team interested in keeping forward Ruud van Nistelrooy. Last week, the coach of the English club, Sir Alex Ferguson, did not agree to the amount offered by the Spanish club.
The player from the Netherlands participated in this year's World Cup, but the championship did not go well for him as he only managed to score one goal and had to leave the tournament with the national team after the round of 16, where they lost to Portugal with a dramatic 0-1 result.
The services of the striker are also wanted by the German champions Bayern Munich, who are willing to go head-to-head with the Spanish giants and claim to be close to an agreement.
It is believed that Real Madrid's new offer is around £10 million, and since Manchester United had already stated that they value the 30-year-old forward at about £5 million more, this offer may also be insufficient.
However, no other club has reached an agreement with Man Utd, and the "Red Devils" insist that they are not planning to sell the forward, as the team's head coach Sir Alex Ferguson stated that he is happy with the form shown by the striker and that everything can still change: "For now, he is a United player.
