Finally, one of the most promising Spanish center backs, Jesus Vallejo, has officially arrived at Madrid's "Real".
In 2015, Vallejo was acquired by the "white" team and spent the last two seasons on loan to other clubs - in the 2015 season, he finished with the "Real Zaragoza" team, and last season he played very successfully for Frankfurt's "Eintracht".
The 20-year-old defender signed a four-year contract with the UEFA Champions League winners. He will wear the jersey marked with number three - symbolically, as he will take over this number from the departed Pepe, whom he is meant to replace.
"Real" is the biggest club in the world and I enjoy this day more than ever in my life," - said the defender during his presentation ceremony.
"Each one of us, football players, is responsible for the club's values, so I want to be an example for this club both on and off the pitch. In such a club, you have to give your all. Incredibly victorious matches at the 'Santiago Bernabeu' stadium, a fight until the last minute - that is something special for me," - Vallejo said.
Vallejo became the second new player in the "Real" team this summer - earlier, the "whites" announced the acquisition of Theo Hernandez. It is known that the club's academy graduate, Marcos Llorente, will also remain in the first team.
