The San Sebastiano club acquired Slovenian youth national team goalkeeper Dalibor Stevanovic from the "NK Domzale" club, the Spanish club officially announced on Wednesday.
The 21-year-old goalkeeper signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with the Basque club, but will officially become a member of "Real Sociedad" only in January, when "La Liga" clubs will be allowed to register new players. However, D. Stevanovic will start training with his new teammates in the near future.
"He is a true goalkeeper, handles the ball excellently, and likes to take responsibility," praised "Real Sociedad" sports director Jose Mari Bakero about the new acquisition. "We signed him not only for the future, he is a player for the present."
"I came to the best league in the world, where the best players play the best football," the 21-year-old goalkeeper did not spare compliments for the Spanish championship.
After 12 matches, "Real Sociedad" is in 10th place in the league table with 16 points. The next match for "Real Sociedad" will be this Sunday, when they will host Madrid's "Real", who are in fourth place.
