"Real Sociedad" outperformed "Espanyol" in a productive battle

On Monday evening, the 19th round of the Spanish "La Liga" championship ended.

In the last round, Madrid's "Real" defeated San Sebastian's "Real Sociedad" on their winning streak. The Basques, after a productive battle at home, defeated Barcelona's "Espanyol."

"La Real" took the lead in the 3rd minute with a precise strike from Mikel Merino. Just five minutes later, the hosts celebrated another goal - this time Willian Jose scored from the penalty spot.

However, "Espanyol" did not give up - in the 32nd minute, Naldo narrowed the gap, and in the last minute of the first half, they scored an equalizer. Diego Llorente failed in the penalty area.

In the second half, "Real Sociedad" sought to regain their lost advantage. In the 63rd minute, the same W. Jose did that, scoring his second goal and leading the team to victory.

"La Real" finished the match with ten men - in the 75th minute M. Merino was sent off.

"Real Sociedad" climbs to the eighth place, while "Espanyol" falls to the tenth.
