The royal Madrid club started their preseason with six matches in Asia and North America with a victory against Guadalajara's "Chivas" from Mexico.
After an unimpressive first half, both teams stepped up in the second. In the 73rd minute, the Mexicans unexpectedly took the lead when Francisco Palencia sent a close-range shot past Johnny Garcios.
Real's response was quick - just four minutes later, Alvaro Mejia headed in David Beckham's penalty kick. The Spaniards were aiming for a win and in the 87th minute, a long-range goal from Guti put them ahead.
In the third goal in the match in Chicago, Roberto Soldado scored just before the final whistle.
In this match, W. Luxemburgo fielded the main players, including newcomers Pablo Garcia, who played the first half, and Carlos Diogo, who appeared on the field from the 62nd minute. Portuguese player Luis Figo played the entire second half, who has lost his place in the main "Real" lineup and is negotiating a move with Liverpool, Inter, and several other European football giants.
Real lineup: Casillas; Salgado (Diogo 62´), Helguera (Mejia 74´), Pavon, Roberto Carlos (Raul Bravo 66´); Gravesen, Pablo Garcia (Figo 45´), Zidane (Guti 45´), Beckham; Owen (Soldado 76´), Ronaldo (Raul 60´).
The next Real match will take place on Monday in Los Angeles, where the Royal club will face the local "Galaxy" before heading to Japan.
