"Real" surpassed "Athletic" after a fierce battle away (VIDEO)

On Saturday, four matches of the 28th round of the Spanish "La Liga" championship were played.

The most attention-grabbing match took place at the "San Mames" stadium, where the local Bilbao "Athletic" clashed with Madrid's "Real". The "White and Reds" managed to secure an important victory after a tough battle with a score of 2-1.

The Basques started the match very aggressively - in the first 10 minutes, Ernesto Valverde's players pressed the visitors from the capital in their own penalty area and did not allow the league vice-champions to feel comfortable with the ball.

However, after an intense start to the match, "Real" gradually took control and started creating dangerous moments. In the 25th minute, Zinedine Zidane's players gained the advantage - after a great pass from Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema put the visitors ahead.

"Real" continued to dominate in terms of dangerous moments, but in the 65th minute, the score became equal when Aritz Aduriz scored with a header after a pass from Raul Garcia.

However, the visitors from the capital did not falter after conceding a goal and three minutes later, they surged ahead again. After a corner kick, C. Ronaldo headed the ball towards the other corner of the goal, where Casemiro, who was completely unmarked, put the final point in this clash with a precise shot.

"Real" gained a 5-point advantage over "Barcelona" until tomorrow and still has a match in reserve.

In other matches, "Eibar" and Barcelona's "Espanyol" shared a point, "Deportivo Alaves" narrowly defeated San Sebastiano's "Real Sociedad" at home, and "Real Betis" achieved a convincing victory against "Osasuna".
