On Thursday late evening the last two matches of the 29th round of the Spanish "La Liga" championship were played. Zinedine Zidane's coached Madrid "Real" club continued the winning streak by defeating "Valencia" footballers with a score of 3:0. In the second half, the "Whites" drove forward after the victory, reducing the gap to 2 points against "Barca". The latter will play against "Sevilla" this weekend. The "Real" team broke through in the 61st minute, when Karim Benzema scored after Eden Hazard's pass. The 74th minute witnessed one of the most beautiful episodes of this season - after a serious injury suffered last summer, Marco Asensio made his first touch to the ball and opened his goal account for this season. The Spaniard stepped onto the field when "Real" took a corner. Ferland Mendy received the ball near the touchline and with a great run made a pass to M. Asensio. In the 86th minute, the same K. Benzema had the final say. He secured the victory with an impressive shot and by scoring a double, he became the fifth all-time top scorer for "Real". Moreover, the author of the assist in this attack was none other than M. Asensio. The other Thursday's evening match ended in a surprising 0:2 defeat for "Real Sociedad" against "Alaves".
