"Real Madrid" president Florentino Perez has decided that the current coach, Carlos Queiroz, should be replaced by coach Jose Antonio Camacho. Perez admitted that appointing Queiroz as coach was a mistake, so he no longer wants to see him at the helm of the Madrid club next season. The president believes that Camacho would be respected among the players for his achievements and strictness. Perez revealed that "Real Madrid" fans are eager to see a Spanish coach in the position, which was perhaps the main reason for starting negotiations with Jose Antonio Camacho. "Real" knows that "Benfica" is in a bad financial situation and hopes to acquire the coach for a small amount of money. "Camacho is my friend and we often communicate," said "Real" sporting director Jorge Valdano yesterday.
