Spain's "La Liga" championship completed the 12th round on Sunday evening.
The final match took place in the rainy city of Vigo, where the local "Celta" hosted Madrid's "Real". The capital team, which recently experienced a huge crisis, defeated "Celta" with a score of 4:2 and returned to the fight for the championship title.
In the 23rd minute, the first goal of the match was scored. Showing excellent form lately, Karim Benzema skillfully accepted a high pass from Luka Modric, quickly turned with the ball, and scored a precise shot to beat the opponents' goalkeeper.
The second goal was scored by the Madrid visitors with the help of the opponents - once again Karim Benzema played well and struck the ball into the goal, which deflected off a "Celta" defender and went into the net.
However, in the 61st minute, "Celta" found a hole in the opponents' defense and Hugo Mallo scored with an excellent shot past Thibaut Courtois. This was the first goal conceded when Santiago Solari leads the "Real" team.
In the second half, it was not easy for Madrid's "Real" team - already after the first 45 minutes, two mandatory substitutions were made as Casemiro and Sergio Reguilon could no longer continue the match. A defender from the academy appeared on the pitch, and as if that wasn't enough - another defender, Nacho, suffered an injury in the middle of the second half.
Nevertheless, even facing difficulties, "Real" managed to gain a two-goal advantage again in the 83rd minute. A penalty was awarded to "Celta," and Sergio Ramos successfully converted it in "panenka" style for the umpteenth time.
In the 87th minute, the opponents were reduced to ten players, and four minutes later, "Real" added a fourth goal with an impressive strike by Dani Ceballos, although the opponents managed to score against T. Courtois once more.
"Real" celebrated their second consecutive victory. The "White team" remains in fourth place, but the gap from the leaders has decreased to just four points. After the international break, "Real" will play against "Eibar," while the leaders "Barcelona" will face a showdown at the "Wanda Metropolitano" fortress.
