"Real" won't have to pay an impressive compensation for the dismissal of J. Lopetegui

The Madrid "Real" team was forced to say goodbye to head coach Julen Lopetegui earlier than planned. Showing one of the worst results in the club's history, the Spaniard was dismissed from his coaching duties on Monday after a defeat in Barcelona. He was temporarily replaced by Santiago Solari, who had been in charge of the second team until now. J. Lopetegui signed a three-year contract with "Real" in June. The contract included a compensation of up to 18 million euros, but the coach will not receive this money. The Spanish media reports that the contract stipulated that the compensation would not be valid if the coach was dismissed from his duties before January. Now the Madrid "Real" club will only have to pay half of the season's compensation to the coach. He and his coaching staff will receive around 3 million euros in total. J. Lopetegui, who had a good start to the season, faced huge difficulties in October when his team won only one out of five matches under his leadership.
