However, the day after, S. Stegemann admitted his mistake.
"I am very upset, I feel ashamed. Last night I slept very badly and I cannot come to terms with my decision.
It was a penalty kick, but I did not see it in the penalty area. As a referee, I have the right to make a decision without video review," clarified S. Stegemann.
