"Rennes" talent dreams of playing for "Man United"

"Rennes" team's talented defender James Lea Siliki admitted that he dreams of representing "Manchester United" one day.

The 21-year-old footballer patiently worked his way up until he became a member of the starting lineup under coach Sabri Lamouchi. This season, he started in all "Ligue 1" matches.

The Frenchman is considered one of the best products of the Rennes academy, which also produced players like Ousmane Dembele and Tiemoue Bakayoko.

"Since I was little, sitting in my room, I dreamed of playing important matches and being a professional footballer," Siliki told "Ouest France". "I became obsessed with it as soon as I started to understand everything."

"I dream of Manchester United, their stadium, their colors. I grew up during Sir Alex Ferguson's era, with matches on Boxing Day on 'Canal+', with 95th-minute wins. I grew up with Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole up front, Mikael Silvestre, Louis Saha, Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Ryan Giggs, who still remains an icon."

This season, Siliki has so far recorded one assist.
