Luciano Spalletti had a hard time coming to terms with the fact that Milan's "Inter" is withdrawing from the UEFA Champions League.
"Inter" failed to take advantage of the draw between "Tottenham" and Barcelona in Barcelona and after playing a tie at home with PSV, they dropped to the Europa League. L. Spalletti said after the match that the team was not organized enough, and the tension at the stadium also contributed to the negative result.
"We couldn't stay calm, even though everything was still possible. We gifted a goal to the opponents, were not tactically well organized, and allowed PSV to escape into quick attacks several times.
"When you feel tension and a certain sense of anxiety, you forget how to keep control in the match. We had our chances, but at that time we no longer had the right approach to the game.
"Not every team can beat anyone - this had entered our psychology. We needed to play well-organized football, but after conceding a goal quickly, we lost our heads," the coach added.
