However, Jurgen Klopp's team did not give up and managed to reduce the deficit just before halftime. Mohamed Salah sent the ball into the net in the 42nd minute.
In the second half, the initiative was taken by the hosts, and in the 52nd minute they had a golden opportunity to equalize. However, Mohamed Salah failed to convert a penalty from 11 meters and the score remained 2:1.
In the closing minutes of the match, "Liverpool" managed to score the equalizing goal. Roberto Firmino scored with a header in the 87th minute.
After the match, the league leaders "Arsenal" maintain a 6-point lead over "Man City" players just below them. Meanwhile, "Liverpool" is ranked in eighth position.
