Over the weekend, the fifty-fifth season of the Dutch "Eredivisie" championship began.
The first round did not go well for the championship favorites - Enschede's "Twente", Amsterdam's "Ajax" and Alkmaar's "AZ" teams had to settle for draws in away matches against mid-table teams.
The only team to secure a victory was Eindhoven's PSV, who defeated "Heerenveen" 3-1.
