Review of the Elite Girls League (16th week)

Today, in Klaipėda, Ukmergė, and Utena, the 12th round matches of the U15 division championship took place. The main change occurred in the battle for third place.

MFA "Bitės" maintained a high scoring streak and significantly closed in on the division leaders after a victory against Ukmergės SC. In the beginning of the match, Jūratė Grinevičiūtė scored an own goal, and later Vilnius team increased their lead with a "hat trick" by Agata Marija Kairytė and accurate shots from Viktorija Liberė, Adriana Bystronovskaja, Augustė Kriūnaitė, and Goda Smailytė.

The Western Lithuania derby provided four goals and a penalty shootout. Klaipėdos FM took the lead after goals by Elzė Česnauskaitė and Elijos Beinoravičiūtė, but in the middle of the second half Andrėja Tamošauskaitė and Vesta Zablackaitė equalized the score. In the penalty shootout, FK "Banga" was more accurate and secured an additional point.

In the last round matches, "Utenos Utenis" proved their superiority against FC "Hegelmann" and pushed their opponents out of the third position. The local fans enjoyed Gabija Repečkaitė's "poker" and goals from Tėja Albertynaitė and Miglė Sinkevičiūtė. The visiting team scored a goal through Urtėja Stulgaitytė.

The U15 division matches of the girls' elite league will resume on May 4th with the 13th round matches.
