"Premier" League announced that it has sold the TV broadcast rights for the 2016-19 seasons very profitably.
The English league will receive a whopping £5.13 billion for them.
This means that the companies BSkyB and BT will pay a price that is 70 percent higher than what is being sold now.
The cost of broadcasting one match will reach as much as £10.2 million.
The first television deal for "Premier" League broadcasts was made in 1992 and was worth £191 million (£0.6 million per match).
The current package (2013-16) cost £3 billion or £6.5 million per match.
